Revenant

Windsor & Eton Brewery’s latest international collaboration goes on sales this week. Brewed using Rye malt and top of range UK Pale and Crystal malts, REVENANT is a 5% IPA brewed in collaboration with Tennessee based brewery, Tennessee Brew Works.

Master Brewer and Co-Founder Paddy Johnson explains:

“ Bairds, who supply malt to both ourselves and Brew Works, approached us with an idea of a special beer ready for this year's World Beer Cup being held in Tennessee. We spent an enjoyable day back in January brewing the beer with Matt Simpson, (Head Brewer at Brew Works) and Dan and David from Bairds. It’s a rye malt IPA and therefore has a moreish rye dryness with a classic American hop character finish.”

Dan Unwin, General Manager tells more about the story behind the beer:

“Bairds Malt was founded in 1823 which is the same year that Hugh Glass was attacked and mauled by a grizzly bear and left for dead in the wilds of South Dakota. He crawled 200 miles before reaching help, events depicted in the Oscar winning movie The Revenant.”

REVENANT can be ordered from today by emailing sales@webrew.co.uk or calling 01753 854075.
