With the welcoming team behind the bar and inviting ambience, WE want you to feel at home when you come into our bar. And whether you’re after one of our popular craft ales, a classic cocktail, tasty bite, or a flat white, WE can deliver. WE also host live music, open mic nights, and charity events where the locals can gather together and feel the community spirit.
I’ve been with the brewery for 15 years, starting out by cleaning glasses by hand. I’ve been with the brewery for 15 years, starting out by cleaning glasses by hand. Over time, I’ve helped with all sorts of tasks- digging out mash tuns, breaking up hops for brewing, and carrying malt sacks up the stairs. What I enjoy most is the rhythm of cask washing- it keeps me busy and focused.
I’ve also pitched in at plenty events over the years, everything from the Jubilee celebrations to local beer festivals. I’ve even spent time on the road with the drivers, discovering lots of pubs I never knew existed.
My favourite beer would definitely be Treason.
I’ve worked here since 2021, mainly across our bars and events, and have dabbled in brewing and logistics. After graduating, I was promoted into management and took on more responsibility, including setting up and running our new Kingston bar, Woody’s.
I enjoy having a genuine product to sell. There’s a story behind every beer, they’re high quality and locally made so it’s something to be proud of.
I love the team I work with, everyone’s passionate about the brewery and grafts because of it. It makes work life way better when you’re working with friends. My favourite beer is White Riot- its perfect for summer!
I’ve been at the brewery for about six months now, and it’s been a great experience so far. I started out working in the packaging side of things- filling kegs and casks, getting to grips with the day-to-day operations, and learning the ropes from the ground up. I’ve now been fully signed off on brewing and at the moment, I’m focusing on learning how to run the canning line.
One of the things I appreciate most about working here is the atmosphere, it’s a really supportive and laid-back environment.
As for my current favourite beer? Right now, I’d have to say Solero Supernova although I’ve still got a few more beers on my list to try!
I’ve with the team for 9 years, and it’s been an adventure- fast-paced and challenging at times. The George has been a training ground where I’ve learnt skills like empathy, patience, and adaptability. Serving food and beer is only half the job 😉
I enjoy human connection the most- with guests and the team. Every day brings new opportunities to meet people from all walks of life. There’s also a sense of pride in being part of something bigger, like helping W&E thrive, creating memorable experiences, and contributing to the local community.
My favourite beer? The refreshing White Riot!
I’ve been in brewing for over 12 years now and the nature of the job has changed a lot in my time. As the brewery has grown and we’ve brought in new equipment, many of the more tedious, repetitive tasks have become a lot quicker and more efficient.
What I love most is making the beer, drinking it, and seeing other people enjoy it in the taproom. The team here is wonderful and a real joy to work with. The equipment is simple and effective as well, which helps massively.
As for favourites? I’d say White Riot, Republika and Helles. I really liked Capital too. I also really like all the new beers we have made this year.
We’re a mixed bunch brought together by a love of beer, people, and doing things differently. We believe great beer is for everyone, and so is a sense of belonging. Our team is all about community, inclusivity, and having a laugh while we get stuck in. No egos, just good people brewing, serving and pouring with purpose.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with charities that share our belief in looking out for one another, supporting mental and physical wellbeing, and being there when it matters most. These partnerships aren’t just feel-good add-ons – they’re rooted in purpose and chosen with care.
